27 Apr Crowning of the new Kings and Queens of the Zillertal VÄLLEY Betterpark Hintertux – Hintertux Glacier- Tux-Finkenberg
On April 23rd and 24th 2022, the great Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY tour final hosted by Ride Snowboards and Blue Tomato went down at Betterpark Hintertux on Hintertux Glacier. More than 90 young up-and-coming snowboarding talents travelled from all over Europe to Tux-Finkenberg to get involved in the last and final tour stop of Zillertal´s most popular Snowboard Amateur Series. And after all, the grand final was all about the crown! Beside the day winners of the last tour stop, the Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY overall tour winners were crowned the new Kings and Queens of the VÄLLEY to at the successful conclusion of the event series in Hintertux.
With the great Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY Final, betterpark Hintertux came back to life on April 23rd and 24th. It´s been a stormy start into the spring season. Wille Kaufmann and his Betterparks shape team had been busy, getting the setup in shape for the final Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY tour stop. Due to the forecast, the competition was already held on Saturday. With wind picking up and visibility deteriorating, the organizers decided to switch to “Rail Jam” format, which turned out to be an exciting battle with great vibes and motivated participants who were defying wind and weather.
At the end of the day it was Martin Jozsa (SVK), who took double gold as the best Rookie Boy and unbeatable “overall men´s winner.” For the girls, it was Laura Zaveska (CZE) who delivered the best rail performance in the Rookie Girls class and also claimed the title of the best overall woman. In the Groms category, two Czech riders, Eliška Měřičková and Oliver Stastny, both climbed the podium in first place. While young Slovakian Ella Gorcsosova (SVK) took first place in the Supergrom Girls contest, Jaka Pančur from Slovenia won the Supergrom Boys competition. Dominik Holzinger from Austria claimed the Horsefeathers Best Trick Award with his stylish “BS 270 -270 out” and local snowboard club´s M-Town rider Paulina Müller got rewarded “most progressive grom of the day” by the Ästhetiker.
“Conducting a competition with 90 participants in difficult conditions on the glacier was not an easy task,” says Pia Schroeter from the organization team. “For us, the safety of the participants is top priority.” Rudi Kröll from the Ästhetiker organizing team adds: “That’s why we switched from the slopestyle format to the Rail Jam without further ado. We are proud that, with the Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY, our association “Die Ästhetiker” have created an important stepping stone for young snowboarders on their way to professional snowboarding.”

Since the final contest was held in Rail Jam format, the Ästhetiker decided not to include the results in the overall rankings. The new Kings and Queens of the VÄLLEY were determined based on the results of the previous 3 slopestyle competitions.
After the regular award ceremony, the tour winners were crowned new Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY royal family 2021/2022: Congratulations!

The Coaching dÄy was finally moved to Sunday, when the Ästhetiker and shredschool coaches Steve Gruber, Friedl Kolar and Chris Kroell cruised with their small teams around Sommerberg to check out funny side hits and celebrate the joy of snowboarding together. With their participation at Hintertux Glacier, the snowboarders also collected points on the international World Snowboard Point List (WSPL). The tour stop is a recognized ASA (Austrian Snowboard Association) Austria Cup and rookies (U18) are credited with points in the World Rookie Ranking. Krönung der neuen Kings & Queens of the VÄLLEY im Zillertal Betterpark Hintertux – Hintertuxer Gletscher – Tux-Finkenberg
Am 23. und 24. April fand das große Tourfinale der 9. Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY hosted by Ride Snowboards und Blue Tomato im Betterpark Hintertux am Hintertuxer Gletscher statt. Über 90 junge Snowboard Talente waren anlässlich des letzten Tourstopps der beliebten Zillertaler Snowboard Amateur Serie aus ganz Europa nach Tux-Finkenberg gereist. Schließlich ging es beim großen Finale vor allem um die Krone! Neben den Tagessiegern wurden zum erfolgreichen Abschluss der Eventserie die Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY Gesamttoursieger 2021/2022 zu den neuen Kings und Queens of the VÄLLEY gekrönt.
Mit dem Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY Finale erwachte am 23. und 24. April der Betterpark Hintertux aus dem Winterschlaf. Es war ein stürmischer Start in die Frühjahrssaison. Wille Kaufmann und sein Betterpark Shapeteam hatten alles gegeben, um das Setup am Fuße des Olperers zum letzten Tourstopp der diesjährigen Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY auf Vordermann zu bringen. Wetterbedingt wurde der Wettbewerb bereits am Samstag durchgeführt. Bei zunehmendem Wind und verschlechterter Sicht entschieden die Ästhetiker, zum „Railjam“ Format zu wechseln. Es folgte ein spannendes Battle mit guter Stimmung, bei dem die Teilnehmer Wind und Wetter trotzten.
Am Ende des Tages holte sich Martin Jozsa (SVK) als bester Rookie und bester „Overall Man“ den Tagessieg. Bei den Mädels war es Laura Zaveska (CZE), die als bestes Rookie Girl und beste „Overall Woman“ die beste Rail-Performance des Tourstopps ablieferte. In der Grom Kategorie holten sich mit Eliška Měřičková und Oliver Stastny zwei Tschechische Nachwuchsfahrer die Goldmedaille. Während die junge Slovakin Ella Gorcsosova (SVK) bei den Supergrom Girls den ersten Platz belegte, gewann Jaka Pančur aus Slovenien den Wettbewerb der Supergrom Boys. Schließlich holte sich Dominik Holzinger aus Österreich mit einem „BS 270 -270 out“ den Horsefeathers Best Trick Award. Paulina Müller aus Deutschland wurde abschließend von den Ästhetikern zum „most progressive Grom of the dÄy“ ernannt.
„Einen Wettbewerb mit 90 Teilnehmern bei erschwerten Bedingungen am Gletscher durchzuführen, war keine leichte Aufgabe,“ so Pia Schroeter vom Organisationsteam. „Für uns steht die Sicherheit der Teilnehmer an erster Stelle.“ Rudi Kröll vom Ästhetiker Veranstalterteam ergänzt: „Deshalb haben wir kurzerhand vom Slopestyle Format auf Rail Jam gewechselt. Wir sind stolz, dass unser Verein „Die Ästhetiker“ mit der Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY ein wichtiges Sprungbrett für junge Snowboarder auf ihrem Weg in den Profisport geschaffen hat.“

Da der letzte Contest im Rail Jam Format durchgeführt wurde, entschieden die Ästhetiker, die Ergebnisse nicht in die Gesamtwertung mit einzubeziehen. So wurden die neuen Kings und Queens of the VÄLLEY anhand der Ergebnisse der vorausgegangenen 3 Slopestyle Wettbewerbe ermittelt.
Die Toursieger wurden im Anschluss an die reguläre Preisverteilung mit viel Applaus zur neuen Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY Königsfamilie 2021/2022 gekrönt: Herzlichen Glückwunsch!

Die Ästhetiker und Shredschool Coaches Steve Gruber, Friedl Kolar und Chris Kröll waren mit ihren kleinen Teams rund um den Sommerberg unterwegs, um lustige Side-Hits auszuchecken und die Freude am gemeinsamen Snowboarden zu zelebrieren.
